The name Habakkuk, which has many pronunciations but the one that is common with me is “HA-BAK-kas”. Habakkuk is a Hebrew name, which means “He who embraces”. Let it be known that Habakkuk’s Kids will be forever known as the place "Who will Embrace Kids, (of all ages)."

No, we are guided by our faith, and what does that signify? Primarily,  It's a Faith Driven Corporation, we believe that our faith in Jesus Christ influences how we work and live. We are dedicated to fulfilling the tasks that God has entrusted to us, striving to perform to the best of our abilities. We believe that He oversees all our actions, and that our work, time, and energy —everything we possess—belongs to Him and come from Him. These resources serve as tools for us to honor and serve Him faithfully.

 Aging out of the foster care system can present a difficult transition for numerous young individuals. Upon reaching the age of 18, they frequently lose the support and resources that the foster care system offers, resulting in challenges such as homelessness, unemployment, incarceration, and limited access to education.

 Habakkuk's Kids recognizes that not everyone is made college material. Our plans is to collaborate with community businesses to provide trades for those aging out of the system. Trades like Automotive Mechanics, Electricians, Welding Plumbing, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) etc. This partnership can benefit both the Habakkuk's Kids and community businesses. 

As of today, we hold a 501(c)(3) designation from the Internal Revenue Service under the Department of the Treasury, specifically categorized under Tax Exempt and Government Entities, Dr-14. This designation is also known as the Consumer’s Certificate of Exemption from the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. Our logo has been officially registered with the United States Patent Trademark Office and a completion of our business plan. Furthermore, we are registered on Sunbiz, Grants.Gov and have created a website with our own domain.

Our team is made up of Assistant Principals, Teachers, Counselors, and professionals holding various medical certifications, all with extensive experience working with children as young as six weeks, as well as youth and young adults. Collectively, we offer over 70 years of combined experiences in our roles.

Currently, we are unable to provide any services as we are still in the initial phases of developing our organization. As you may know, no structure can stand firm without a solid foundation to support it.
